│ IMPORTANT NOTES FOR USING THE ARI CD-MENU PROGRAM │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
- When entering certain programs, some incompatibilities may occur between
the drivers or even a program crash in consequence of system manipulations
of the child program (RESET !!!). In such cases, you should attempt to
start the program directly from the DOS level.
- After replaying *.ROL files, the *.MOD playback function remains inactive,
therefore it is necessary to replace *.MOD files first...
- Programs that tend to write on CD (Setup, Configuration, etc.) should be
copied to the hard disk and started from there.
- In order to provide as much storage space as possible to the program
called-in, make sure to remove the menu program from the memory before
addressing, and place it on hard disk; this will take some time. You may
avoid this delay by providing at least 512KB EMM memory to your system.
- Should the menu program run inconsistently (e.g. when addressing the
DOS shell, the computer will "be hung up"), verify that the memory
management driver EMM386.EXE (or comparable) is integrated. An entry like
"DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE" should exist in your CONFIG.SYS file...
